Malnutrition affects 33% of children under five, with 36% suffering from stunted growth due to a lack of affordable, nutrient-rich food. Millions of laborers struggle with dehydration caused by long hours and extreme temperatures, impacting productivity and health. Urban diets, heavy in sugary, low-nutrient foods, are worsening public health, while premium health products remain out of reach for most low-income families. Rural areas lack access to wellness solutions due to resource and distribution barriers.

Wellspring addresses these issues by providing affordable, science-backed products like energy drinks, fruit juices, saline, and nutrition-rich chocolates. Through a community-driven model, they empower local entrepreneurs to distribute these products, ensuring better access to essential nutrition and hydration across Bangladesh.

WATER BRAND “THE FOLIA WATER FILTER”

The World’s Only Mass Market Grocery Water Filter, antimicrobial paper water filters that eliminate 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.7% of viruses. Sold affordably in local convenience stores, these filters provide 20 liters of clean water for just 20 taka/20¢ USD, ensuring that working-class BOP populations have easy access to safe drinking water. households consume water contaminated with E. coli. A study by Folia and Aqua for All found that 97% of the BOP population does not filter drinking water, causing severe health risks.

Wellspring is expanding its water category in Bangladesh with the Folia brand and trialing new

nutrition and health products. After achieving commercial success, Wellspring aims to enter

With four years of R&D, consumer research, and market piloting, Folia Water has found its product-market fit, selling through 2,000 stores and achieving an impressive 65% month-on-month growth since its commercial launch in October 2023. Wellspring plans to achieve a monthly sales revenue of $2 million by the end of 2026, reaching profitability and sustainability.
