Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet millions of people globally, and in Bangladesh lack access to safe and reliable drinking water
Unsafe drinking water causes around 1.2 million deaths each year globally and it is the biggest cause of hospitalizations in low-income countries like Bangladesh. As the rally came to a close, we promise to continue raising our voices for the demand of clean drinking water for all. With the global water crisis showing no signs of abating, the need for such initiatives and collective action has never been more urgent, particularly in a country like Bangladesh where access to clean drinking water is a pressing issue.
Folia Water works to improve the lives of the working-class population through its innovative, low-cost water purifier solution. Our core vision is to solve the global drinking water problem by bringing together our patented material innovation and its Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) grocery pricing to match low income peoples affordability. We are currently working in 3 districts in Bangladesh: Jashore, Khulna, and Patuakhali, and is committed to expanding its solution nationally and beyond, particularly in the South East Asian regions to create an impact at scale.
